Eddy Current Separators or eddy current separations mainly consist of magnetic pulley, short belt conveyor, drive motor and steel frame,etc. As the most key parts, magnetic pulley is very special magnetic system that can generate alteating magnetic field by its inner strong magnetic element rapidly rotating. Then non ferrous metals produce eddy currents that will eject themselves away from the rest of the materials flow.
Application:
- removal of aluminium caps for the glass recycling industry;
- removal of brass rivets and hinges in the wood recycling industry;
- removal of non-ferrous metals from slag from waste incineration plants;
- processing of scrap, electronics waste or household waste;
- elimination of impurities from recycled plastic streams for protection of injection moulding machines;
- clean-up of mining and mineral streams, e.g. removal of broken-off excavator teeth;
- recovery of casting residues in the metal casting industry.

Advice:
Overband Magnetic separator, Magnetic Head Pulley, Magnetic Drum are recommended prior to the eddy current separator.
An eddy current separator is NOT designed to be a source of magnetic ferrous separation. Serious damage will occur if magnetic separators such as pulleys or drums are not used to remove the ferrous metal from the burden before it reaches the eddy current system. At least two stages of magnetic separation.
